Glass floor hatch Trijntje Oosterhuis
functional design
A special element has been added to singer Trijntje Oosterhuis' home in Amsterdam: a glass floor hatch. This hatch is fully walkable and provides a smart and stylish solution in the compact, characteristic Amsterdam home. Thanks to the transparent design, it not only creates additional space experiences, but also a direct connection between the top floor and the rooms below.
The floor hatch combines functionality with design: it lets light through, increases the feeling of openness while providing a safe passage. The expertise of Linfi, a specialist in custom-made floor hatches, was chosen for its realisation. The result is a harmonious addition to the interior that perfectly matches the ambience of the house.
Features
aesthetic craftsmanship
At LINFI, we combine aesthetics, functionality and craftsmanship in every project. Our team works exclusively with high-quality materials and innovative techniques to deliver products that are not only beautiful but also last for years. This stainless steel floor hatch is a perfect example of that: a unique combination of safety, design and ease of use.
Electrically powered
The glass floor hatch is easy to open and close electrically. We have specially selected a low-noise motor for this technique. Depending on the dimensions, this motor can be placed either on the short or long side of the hatch. It can be operated via a wall switch or remote control.
Safe and walkable
With our glass floor hatches, we have developed a solution to make open basements accessible in a beautiful and safe way. The floor door is walkable and completely recessed into the floor, with no protruding parts. For safety's sake, opening and closing can only be done via a wall switch. If the power fails in your home, the hatch can of course also be opened.
Eye-catching design
A glass floor hatch is an access solution without loss of space, which is more noticeable compared to a concealed floor hatch. It is often chosen to make the hatch of partly safety glass. However, a wood or tiled finish is also possible. We finish our floor hatches with a beautiful frame. Stainless steel is the most commonly used material for this.
Tailor-made
Our floor hatches are always 100% custom-made. Not only our customers often have specific requirements for their floor hatch. The varying dimensions of the room and basement below also require a customised solution.
