Floor hatch with wine lift in Bosch and Duin

exclusive customisation

A custom-made wine lift was designed for a private client, fully integrated into an existing floor structure. The project required a solution within a cavity with fixed dimensions, which limited the height and length and did not allow the recess to be enlarged or deepened.

In close consultation with the architect, a presentation design was developed for the floor hatch that is both technically feasible and aesthetically high-quality. The furniture was realised by an interior designer and combines functionality with exclusive appearance.

The wine lift accommodates two wine refrigerators, which are accessible and visible through sliding glass walls. On top, a walkable finish in laminated/toughened glass was chosen so that the bottles remain elegantly visible and the floor is safely walkable. The design takes service and maintenance into account, so that the refrigerators and technology remain easily accessible.

The result is a sophisticated solution in which technology, design and experience come together: a functional wine storage that at the same time makes an architectural statement.

I want that too!

Features

aesthetic craftsmanship

At LINFI, we combine aesthetics, functionality and craftsmanship in every project. Our team works exclusively with high-quality materials and innovative techniques to deliver products that are not only beautiful but also last for years. This stainless steel floor hatch is a perfect example of that: a unique combination of safety, design and ease of use.

The glass floor hatch is easy to open and close electrically. We have specially selected a low-noise motor for this technique. Depending on the dimensions, this motor can be placed either on the short or long side of the hatch. It can be operated via a wall switch or remote control.

With our glass floor hatches, we have developed a solution to make open basements accessible in a beautiful and safe way. The floor door is walkable and completely recessed into the floor, with no protruding parts. For safety's sake, opening and closing can only be done via a wall switch. If the power fails in your home, the hatch can of course also be opened.

A glass floor hatch is an access solution without loss of space, which is more noticeable compared to a concealed floor hatch. It is often chosen to make the hatch of partly safety glass. However, a wood or tiled finish is also possible. We finish our floor hatches with a beautiful frame. Stainless steel is the most commonly used material for this.

Our floor hatches are always 100% custom-made. Not only our customers often have specific requirements for their floor hatch. The varying dimensions of the room and basement below also require a customised solution.
